Photography

I studied Black and White photography and printing at Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle. I loved taking my camera downtown and shooting whatever caught my eye as I wandered around Pioneer Square or through the market.

The first print I sold was the one of Ruby, the Capuchin monkey. This was my first official show, at the Guadalupe Arts Center. The center was burned beyond repair years ago, leaving many local photographers without a darkroom and many artists without a studio and prompting me to think about finally going digital.

I shot the photo of Ruby with the Canon AE-1 that was bequeathed to me by my grandfather. He loved that camera and I love it, too.

I love to take pictures of faces and writing and close ups of tree bark and rocks. I don't worry about being brilliant or the best, I just play. More photos on Flicker.Freavecom
